I featured a pretty brilliant mix from Mark Lancaster back in November of last year, and this entry offers up another - tho of a different sort - equally brilliant mix. This session is basically a who’s who and what’s what of experimental breakbeat music from the 1990s that helped shape what I am into and doing now in similar sonic realms. A veritable list of essential hard jungle, breakbeat, IDM, drill’n'bass, and early breakcore, Mark delivers the tracks in a concotion made especially for the elevated head nod shuffle foot brockout massive.
This one takes me back ten or so years to my house in Minneapolis we affectionately referred to as The Crack Shack, where Mark and other friends would preparty, postparty, and just generally party. Dropping records and knowledge from afternoons into early mornings, most of these tracks caught plenty of air time in the basement of that awesomeness in that time of winning.
So, sit back, crack one open, light one up, and enjoy the ride.

Thanks for this sweet mix, Mark.
